Artist’s Statement:

Nicole Fisher-Huff, intuitive painting artist, discovered creative expression to be more of a necessity than a luxury. First drawn to folk-art painting during trying times, and later watercolour workshops for the creative comradery, she landed in the world of intuitive expressionism on a whim, with an enchanted mixed-media acrylic artist who guided her to trust that art comes through you, not necessarily from you. Nicole’s artwork hinges on humanity’s woven-by-nature design, encouraging us to notice the not-so-noticeable, for more meaningful connections with the fabric of the universe.

Mosaic Thinking Methodology

“Mosaic thinking” works because:

  • pieces don’t usually make sense in isolation

  • meaning emerges in relationship

  • the image isn’t known until enough fragments are placed

  • timing matters as much as content

My process is the same whether I’m creating art, guiding conversation, or shaping learning: I work mosaically. I listen for key words/phrases, idea fragments, notice emerging patterns, and help language land before it’s over-edited or lost. Often, the most meaningful structure appears in the moment — not because it was planned, but because the conditions were right. It’s a threshold skill where people aren’t necessarily coming to me for information, rather they’re looking to access what they perhaps already (intuitively) know, but can’t yet hold.
